Together with Sven Fredrik I release a track today called "Coarse Velvet", ambient and electronica meets acoustic drums in a slow but still intense kraut experiment, perhaps? Anyhow, it is relased as part of Lamour Records "Because we love music 2026" a month filled with tracks from friends and artist connected to the Lamour label.
Made a little track here during the holidays. Kind of my usual ambient serving I guess, but that’s how I like it. Four years ago I released a track on new years eve called ”Appendix-21” so I guess this continues that tradition even though it is a couple of days late. Started the track on only iPad so a lot of Animoog Z as a the foundation, looping it and reshaping loops in GAUSS Filed Looper and then moved that into to Ableton and played some modular stuff and ALT on top of that. Available at Bandcamp for name-your-price.
Second track with the ALT making this into a series now I guess! Changed up the setup a bit and added a glockenspiel with effects pedals. The setup is something like this: The glockenspiel is passing through a pre-amp, EHX POG2, Lüm Texture Engine and a compressor before arriving at the Boss RC-505 looper which goes to the mixer (Mackie 802). Both the Hydrasynth and the ALT goes to the mixer which has an alternate output going to the RC-505 this enables to switch if I want to pass these through the looper or not. RC-505 goes through the SP404-SX (used only as an FX-unit) and the BlueSky reverb. The piece is written as such that a couple of loops is recorded while I "sound-check" and figure out what works and not before the final take. So it is not exactly live looping or improvisation but something close to that. Recorded as a stereo track in Ableton Live. Full video/track on YouTube and name your price on download on audio at Bandcamp.
First session with the ALT soundscape synthesizer and second session using Erica Synths Perkons HD-01. Hydrasynth has been around for awhile and paired these three up with Walrus Audio Qi Etheralizer and Lüm Texture Engine. All coming together in the Mackie 802-VLZ23 mixer and recorded as a stereo track in Ableton Live. Full video/track on YouTube and name your price on download on audio at Bandcamp.
Another weekend another song apparently! This tape experiment turned into something else than I initially expected. Got ideas for overdubs, and all of a sudden a sort pop-song? Full video/track on YouTube and name your price on download on audio at Bandcamp.
Created something with a short turn-around. Been a while since I've done that and felt fun an refreshing! Also felt like I stumbled into some new territory that needs further exploration, minimalism as in repetitive simple rhythms (that are not sequenced). I guess it makes me think more of minimalism since it is acoustics with all it's imperfections (and there sure are those when battling a bit against latency and my own limitations as well). Anyhow... track also available at Bandcamp:
A mix between a studio project and a live recording resulting in an aural prediction. Based on a 4-track experiment with where one track at a time is recorded over an extended period resulting in an ’in the moment response’ on each track and finalizing it all in a live take. Released as STAL-167 out on Stålverk Records.

Today I have the pleasure of presenting my new album. It feels very good getting this out there compared to rate I have been working and creating at these last years this one felt like a bit of a slog to be honest. Mostly at the editing stage, overdub and mixing stage. The main recordings where done over a couple if weeks I belive. I built the setup for this album and recorded the first song with the intention of doing it as a 2023 Jamuary. But when I snoozed on actually making a proper mix, video edit and all that it entails getting a jam out there I soon shifted the idea and gave up on Jamuary. Having recorded as multi-tracks if not always the best idea for getting tracks/jams out there fast and I embraced the idea of editing them fully instead. So off and on for a year now I have tweaked at the tracks, split them up and made this album from the original five recordings. I hope you enjoy. The actual live takes will be published in the following weeks. This one is released by Petite Victory Collective a fitting home for a hardware based album that originated and transformed from live takes and jams. Thanks to everyone keeping the wheels of that awesome machine running!
