”Godmorgon framtid” (translates: Good morning future) is inspired by a book with the same title. In 1984 Bengt-Arne Vedin and Fred Preston prophecised about the future in this lovely illustrated coffee table book — frequently found in second-hand book shops. It foretold things like ”electronic express letters” and microchips in migrant birds and robotic lawnmowers, but also included things not (yet) seen, such as factories in space and large scale mining at the bottom of the sea.
Our musical tribute to this literary gem is based around a steady arpeggiated synth-beat, which erupts into an uplifting wall of droning guitars and ethereal choirs. The Slim Vic remix, in contrast, has a dark dystopic atmosphere, morphing the choirs to a steady four-to-the-floor beat.
